Left Ventriculography Following Mitral Valve Replacement

Abstract
Case report illustrating use of left ventriculography in post-operative appraisal of functional result following replacement of diseased mitral valve with a Starr-Edwards ball-valve prosthesis. In this instance, bloodflow impinging on a portion of the valve gave rise to a functionally negligible systolic murmur. Contrast visualization excluded valvular malfunction as a more important possible cause.
