A Possible Correlation between the Minimum Sensitizing Dose of Antibody in Passive Anaphylaxis and the Molecular Weight of the Antigen

Abstract
Rabbit and guinea pig antisera to four antigens were compared as to their ability to sensitize guinea pigs passively. The minimum sensitizing dose of each set of sera appeared to be related to the molecular weight of the corresponding antigen. Nonprecipitating antisera were indistinguishable quantitatively from precipitating antisera.
