Abstract
The time required for the anterior pituitary to liberate the minimum quantity of hormone necessary to induce ovulation in the rabbit after copulation was 1-11/4 hrs. Blocking the pituitary circulation or ablating the gland terminated pregnancy in the rabbit. The technique followed in blocking the pituitary circulation is given and the histological changes in the various organs following this procedure are briefly described. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
