Abstract
Light-scattering techniques have been used to study the behavior of the antiferromagnet dysprosium aluminum garnet near its tricritical "wings." The crossover from tricritical to critical behavior near the wing critical lines has been observed, and the shape of the wing critical lines has been determined. The results are in good agreement with the present theory. Keywords
