Abstract
The secretory activity of the renal proximal tubules of the chick in tissue culture is stimulated by the presence of Kendall''s whole cortical extract and of Kendall''s crystalline Compound E (17-hydroxy-11-dehydrocorticosterone), but not appreciably by Kendall''s crystalline Compound A (11-dehydrocorticoste-rone), or Kendall''s amorphous fraction. Likewise, 1-ascorbic acid was found to be ineffective. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
