Distinction between optical absorption edges and photoemission edges in solids

Abstract
The general distinction between optical absorption and photoemission experiments is elucidated. These are seen to be of considerable use when applied to studies of two or more occupied bands. Specific results are provided for two crystals, LiF and KF.Keywords
