Angiocardiographic Technique in Intracardiac Shunts

Abstract
The methods of performing left and right angiocardiography and thoracic aortography, as at present employed in Guy's Hospital, have been described. The essential features of the method are to replace conventional cardiac catheters by wide bore Polythene tubing, and to use the largest vein or artery which is readily available. The advantages obtained are more rapid injection times at lower pressures, with consequent lessening of risk to the patients.
