Abstract
Reduction of peptidyl N,O-dimethyl hydroxamates with lithium aluminium hydride in diethyl ether at 0.degree. allowed the preparation of peptidyl aldehydes in excellent yield and optical purity. These aldehydic peptides are able to inhibit renin activity. They are the shortest renin inhibitors known to date. Keywords
