Abstract
An analysis of the linkage relationships of the Hbalpha and Hbbeta loci with 34 genetic marker systems is presented. No evidence of linkage of either haemoglobin locus with any of the marker loci was found. The Hbalpha locus may be excluded from approximately 7% and the Hbbeta locus from approximately one-third of the autosomal genome.Keywords
