Abstract
The author previously reported that the gonad-stimulating factor of pregnancy urine did not activate the ovary of rhesus monkeys in moderate subcut. dosages. In this study estrin production of the ovary of adult rhesus monkeys was not stimulated by the pregnancy urine factor, but was inhibited by large intraven. dosages (3000-9900 units) in 3-5 days. The ovary of such treated animals is not permanently damaged, and may be reactivated at once by extract of the anterior pituitary gland, or spontaneously.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
