Abstract
Oxidation of N-trifluoroacetyl-methoxyneuraminic acid with periodate followed by reduction of the degradation product with lithium borohydride yields a methoxy acid, C8H15O6N. The formula, C10H19O8N, for methoxyneuraminic acid is thus confirmed.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
