Abstract
Consistent inclusion of the Maxwell equations, especially the recently derived dissipative fields, leads to two novel ponderomotive forces: one electric, the other magnetic. This completes the rigorous fluid dynamical description of ponderable liquids and renders mesoscopic variables such as domain spin or particle rotation superfluous. Keywords
