Abstract
SUMMARY: The haemagglutination-inhibition test was investigated as an immunological method for the assay of human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG). The preparation of a potent antiserum to HCG is described. The results of the assay of HCG during normal pregnancy in ten patients are compared with the results of immunological assays from two Swedish laboratories. The mean values and the 95 % confidence limits for the excretion of HCG from the 10th week of normal pregnancy are calculated. Keywords
