Quantitative Gel Diffusion Methods for Assay of Antigens and Antibodies

Abstract
Adaptations of the original gradient gel diffusion method (Augustin and Hayward, 1955) are given for the assay of antibodies and quantities of antigens of < 1 [mu]g/ml. Two semi-quantitative gel plate methods are described for assaying antigens and antibodies. Methods are given for staining and preserving antigen-antibody gel diffusion patterns.
