Effects of Administration of Testosterone on Vitamin A-Deficient Rats

Abstract

The response of vitamin A-deficient rats to admn. of testosterone was essentially normal. The accessory sex organs were extraordinarily hypertrophied in the face of severe losses of wt. The evidence suggests that vitamin A deficiency interfereres with the synthesis or release of androgens.
