EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE MAMMARY GLAND OF THE MONKEY1

Abstract

In 16 [male] and 2 ovariectomized immature [female] animals (Macacus rhesus), development of mammary glands followed administration of theelin, theelol and hydroxyestrin benzoate. 22-30 weeks were required. Growth of nipples did not afford an index to development of breast tissue.
