Abstract
Charcoal adsorption columns were used to separate peptides devoid of aromatic residues (glycylglycylglycine), peptides with one aromatic residue per molecule (leucylglycine-glycyltryptophan) and peptides with 2 or more aromatic residues per molecule (leucine-tryptophan-tryptophyltryptophan). Paper chromatography is used for qualitative and quantitative tests onthe effluants from the filters. Stearic acid and phenol are utilized as eluting agents. The prepn.of tryptophyltryptophan is described. Keywords
