Abstract
A reinvestigation of the methods for the purification of ox-spleen [beta]-glucuronidase using the variable solvent solubility test revealed the presence of 2 fractions having different pH optima. The 2 enzymes were separated and purified by fractional precipitation with ammonium sulfate and shown to have the following pH optima: with 1-menthylglucuronidase 4.5 and 5.0; phenylglucuronide 4.5 and 5.2; phenolphthalein glucuronide 4.5 and 5.2.This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
