Energetic electron generation by multiphoton absorption

Abstract
The generation of energetic electrons is studied through a process involving S extra photon absorptions above the N-photon ionisation threshold. It is shown that this mechanism can produce significant amounts of fast electrons for high-order ionisation processes.Keywords
