Abstract
EM examination of skin biopsies taken from the lesions in 2 [human] cases of erythema chronicum migrans revealed rickettsia-like bodies free in the cytoplasm or within phagolysosomes in macrophages. There was phagocytosis of cellular debris and collagen, and elastic fibers within macrophages. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
