Effect of ACTH on Blood Glutathione and Sulfhydryl Content of Liver and Kidney in Rats.

Abstract
Rats given ACTH for 3-10 days in doses sufficient to produce sustained eosinopenia when compared with controls, showed no change in blood glutathione, decreased nonprotein sulfhydryl contents of the kidneys, increased nonprotein SH contents of the livers, markedly decreased renal ascorbic acid, no change in the ascorbic acid contents of the livers, and no change in the protein sulfhydryl contents of the livers or kidneys.
