Atomic Masses fromC12toNe22

Abstract

Doublets leading to mass values of the stable isotopes from ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$ to ${\mathrm{Ne}}^{22}$ have been measured with a double-focusing mass spectrometer. In the determination of ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$, two new cycles have been used, (½${\mathrm{C}}_4$ ${\mathrm{H}}_4$O-${\mathrm{O}}^{18}$O)-(${\mathrm{H}}_3$O-H${\mathrm{O}}^{18}$) and (½${\mathrm{C}}_4$ ${\mathrm{H}}_2$O-${\mathrm{O}}^{17}$O)-(${\mathrm{H}}_3$O-${\mathrm{H}}_2$ ${\mathrm{O}}^{17}$), resulting in the value ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$=12.003814±6 amu.
