The rotational‐vibrational energy transfer in a four‐atom linear symmetrical molecule with three Morse bond stretching potentials is investigated. The percentage transfer of rotational energy corresponding to each ER extremum and the time average rotational and vibrational potential energies were computed numerically. Keywords
