Metabolism of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA) by Chickens

Abstract
Zn65 and EDTA-2-C14 were administered to 2 colostomized laying hens in a metabolic chamber which permitted the collection of CO2 and excerta. EDTA-2-C14 was absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and C14 from it was recovered in the respiratory CO2, urinary uric acid and liver fat.
