Abstract
Summary: Five patients who developed characteristic myoclonic twitching, drowsiness and convulsions due to intravenous penicillin and cloxacillin are described. Three had poor renal function. Twenty-three reported cases of penicillin encephalopathy are reviewed and the aetiology of the syndrome is discussed.Keywords
