Über Proteaseinhibitoren, IV. Isolierung von Protease-Inhibitoren mit Hilfe wasserunlöslicher Enzym-Harze

Abstract
Copolymers of maleic anhydride and ethylene react with trypsin, chymotrypsin and kallikrein to form water-insoluble, biologically active enzyme resins. These are especially useful for the isolation of low molecular weight natural inhibitors of the above enzymes. In a suitable buffer, the inhibitor in unpurified extracts is specifically adsorbed onto the enzyme resin. After washing away impurities, the inhibitor is separated from the resin with an acidic buffer. Under the given conditions, the enzyme resin can be used repeatedly for the same purification stage without loss of activity.
