Abstract
We present a very simple scheme for calculating the Green's function of a semi-infinite surface system described within a localized orbital basis. By generating a series of matching conditions for the Green's function we can calculate its matrix elements much faster than any method currently available. We present the formalism for a specific class of systems and include a simple example to illustrate the use of the technique. Keywords
