Treatment of Hyperthyroidism with Thiouracil

Abstract
Cf. ibid pg. 761. A series of 27 unselected cases were treated with thiouracil for periods varying from 3 weeks to 12 mos. and all responded well except one long-standing case. Dosage suggested is 0.2 g. thrice daily for 3-5 wks. with the dose gradually being reduced to the minimum for well-being.
