Abstract
The kinetics of cholinesterase and small amts. of acetylcholine (0.2 [gamma] per cc.) were detd. by the ear method. The cerebrospinal fluid of man contained cholinesterase. The conc. of the enzyme in the spinal fluid was approximately equivalent to the amt. present in 1 or 2% of blood serum. From the in vitro expts. of kinetics of serum cholinesterase and acetylcholine, it was inferred that minute amts. of unhydrolyzed acetylcholine might circulate in the blood stream continually.
