Abstract
The response has been measured of Kodak S.W.R. and SC-7 films and Ilford Q1 plates at 584, 736, and 920 AA and of SWR film at 1216 AA. The absolute values of the radiance were measured with a rare gas ionization chamber. The inertia was found to be the most useful measure of emulsion speed. Keywords
