Abstract
Two patients with gout developed edema and proteinuria 8 and 15 months after starting treatment with probenecid. In 1 patient rapid recovery from a full nephrotlc syndrome followed withdrawal of probenecid, but the other continued to take the drug and died in renal failure. The possibility of a causal association is discussed. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
