Abstract
L-ornithine conjugates of chenodeoxycholic and 7-ketoithocholic acid in immature and cholic, chenodeoxycholic and 7-ketolithocholic acid in adult guinea pig have been identified in bile following injection of a toxic, Cl4-labeled polysaccharide of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Preferential conjugation of L-ornithine with cholic acid by rat and guinea pig liver has been demonstrated in vitro. Keywords
