Abstract
Phagocytosis of Brucella organisms by mature neutrophiles was not impaired in acute leukemia and was not altered by antimetabolite therapy or during periods of bacterial infection. Decreases in the number of neutrophiles preceded the onset of bacterial infection, although the infection did not always appear after neutrophile decrease. Keywords
