Proton Decay of the Isobaric Analogs of the Ground States ofPb206,Pb207,Pb208, andBi209

Abstract

The ($p, n\overline{p}$) reaction has been measured on the lead isotopes ${}_{}{}^{206}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Pb}$, ${}_{}{}^{207}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Pb}$, and ${}_{}{}^{208}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Pb}$ and on ${}_{}{}^{209}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Bi}$. Coulomb-energy differences are extracted from the positions of the $\overline{p}$ peaks. Proton decay widths are also obtained and compared with values from resonance experiments and with a previous value from ${}_{}{}^{209}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Bi}(p, n\overline{p})$.
