Abstract
By introducing a Doppler switching technique in collinear fast-ion—beam laser spectroscopy, transient interference phenomena were observed. The shape of the experimental spectra can be related to the Fourier analysis of the evolution in time of the laser frequency, as probed by the ions. Keywords
