Abstract
The presence of cervical metastases modifies the direction and rate of lymph flow from the larynx. The quantitative effect of tumor irradiation has not been determined but qualitatively a modification in direction and rate of lymph flow is apparent. The secondary areas of lymph drainage from the larynx assume greater significance in the presence of cervical metastases. The submandlb-ular region and the paratracheal nodes increase in potential as tumor sites from adjacent involved nodes. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
