Abstract
The syndrome of mineralocorticoid excess results from tumor or hyperplasia of adrenal cortex, secreting aldosterone and other hormones, including corticosterone and cortisol. Hypertension, nephrosclerosis, and pyelonephritis may cause irreversible damage in long-standing cases. Early diagnosis is aided by study of renal function, K balance, and electrolyte content of sweat and saliva. Keywords
