Abstract
Vibrational relations.—Formulas for the heads of the bands are: Since the coefficients of the terms for the green and red bands are the same, the two systems must have the same initial state () in absorption. The similarity of the green and the near red band systems is pointed out. The progressions are very large for small values, especially in the red system.
