Lifetimes of the(f72)3152states inV51andCa43and(f72)24+states inTi50andCa42via heavy-ion recoil-distance-method measurements

Abstract
The recoil-distance method has been used in conjunction with heavy-ion reactions to measure the following mean lifetimes: τ=8.0±0.6 and 34.1±1.5 psec for the (f72)3 (152) states at 2700 keV in V51 and at 2754 keV in Ca43, and τ=7.7±1.5 and 5.1±0.4 psec for the (f72)24+ states at 2676 keV in Ti50 and at 2752 keV in Ca42, respectively. The resulting B(E2) strengths are interpreted in terms of effective charges for different model spaces.
