Abstract
The first inscription of long-period gratings in a Ge-free air-silica microstructure fibre with rejection bands situated in the telecom wavelength range is reported. The gratings are realised by using the electric arc technique. Rejected bands with high isolation and very low thermal sensitivity have been obtained. Keywords
