Conductivity and Hall Effect in Cerium Dihydride

Abstract
Results are given of measurements of the conductivity and Hall coefficient of cerium dihydride at 200°C as functions of composition. The conductivity, in agreement with earlier results, decreases with increasing hydrogen‐to‐cerium ratio. The Hall coefficient is positive and increases with hydrogen additions. The results are in agreement with a model in which hydrogen is assumed to be protonic. They are not compatible with the assumption of anionic hydrogen.
