Effect of Ingestion of Various Lipids Upon Intestinal Absorption of Phospholipid

Abstract
The phospholipid content of intestinal lymph of rats was analyzed after ingestion of triglyceride, cholesterol, cholate and a mixture of phospholipids. The administration of the triglyceride and cholate led to an increased intestinal absorption of phospholipid. The ingestion of excess cholesterol or phospholipids, however, appeared ineffective in this particular regard.
