Two-Particle Correlation in thep¯p→3π+3π−π0Reaction at 5.7 GeV/c

Abstract
A study of the two-particle correlation in the p¯p3π+3ππ0 reaction has been carried out, using the variables utilized for describing inclusive processes. Correlation functions expressed in terms of one variable were defined and used for the p¯p3π+3ππ0 channel. A procedure has been proposed which allows one to eliminate events for which the constraints due to the kinematical boundaries yield to negative values of the correlation functions. The fourth-differential transverse-momentum distribution for a pair of outgoing charged pions, d4N(dpT1dpT2), was described by a simple parametrization, allowing a direct measurement of the correlation between transverse momenta.
