Abstract
[long dash]Extracts with even the highest indophenol-reducing capacities possessed only half the antiscorbutic activity of the germinated peas from which they were obtained. All extracts from the germinated peas contain at least one substance other than ascorbic acid which reduces indophenol. No evidence was obtained that the active oxidized form of the vitamin is present in the early stages of germination. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
