POSTOPERATIVE INTRACRANIAL HYPOTENSION

Abstract

Intracranial hypotension presents a clear cut clinical picture consisting chiefly of semi-coma, pulling in of skin overlying any skull defect, and flushing of the face and neck. The clinical picture probably results from ischemia and anoxemia of the brain, particularly the diencephalon. The literature is reviewed, and 3 cases are descr. in detail.
