The Laboratory Biology of the Sand Fly Lutzomyia Anthophora (Diptera: Psychodidae)1

Abstract
Laboratory investigations on the biology of the sand fly Lutzomyia anthophora are presented with data on the following: development rates for immatures at 20, 24, 28, and 32 °C, adult longevity, the effect of sugar feeding, fecundity, mating, and feeding behavior. Results are based on 15 generations of L. anthophora reared in the laboratory.
