Abstract
A further discussion is given of the use of the Kubo-Greenwood formula to obtain the expression σ ∼ e 2/n2ξ for the conductivity near a mobility edge, and also of the effect of a change in the density of states on the conductivity in the weak localization case. We give arguments for a continuous transition in weak magnetic fields, and propose that a minimum metallic conductivity may exist for large magnetic fields. Keywords
