Abstract
R-factor strains which are streptomycin-resistant and spectinomycin-sensitive have been found to inactivate streptomycin by a new mechanism. The 3′-OH group of the 2-deoxy-2-methylamino-l-glucopyranosyl moiety is phosphorylated. Keywords
