Abstract
The paper presents the result of examination of material secured in 1935 at Elmo, Kansas, and added to the collection at the Museum of Comparative Zoology in Harvard Univ. New forms are descr. in the following Orders: Megasecoptera (Protohymen tenuis) ; Protodonata (MEGANEUROPSIS permiana); Odonata (Kennedya tillyardi, and K. reducta); Psocoptera (Permopsocus ovatus, and Delopterum kansanum); and Proto-elytroptera (Protelytron furcatum). Specimens representing the Orders Homoptera, Plectoptera and Protoper-laria are also descr. The paper includes discussion of the affinities of the Protohymenoptera and of the Archescytinidae, classification and evolution of the Protodonata, and synonymy of spp. of Protoperlaria. An homop-terous form with terminal abdominal processes resembling respiratory tubes of the Nepidae is descr. A new family, ERASIPTERIDAE (Protodonata) is established for Erasipteron larischi Pruvost, Carb. of Europe.
