Abstract
Radioiron, incubated with fresh plasma, was injected intravenously, and its subsequent distribution in tissue freed of blood was followed. Transferrin was also labeled so that localization of the transferrin-iron complex could be differentiated from localization of iron alone. Data indicating the quantitative importance of the erythron, reticuloendothelial tissue, liver, muscles, skin, and intestine over a period of 100 days are presented. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
